Cabbage and mushroom pierogi

Ingredients:

Cake:

  1. Wheat flour 500 g

  2. Oil 3 tablespoons

  3. Hot water 1 and 1/4 cup

  4. Salt teaspoon

Stuffing:

  1. Sauerkraut 800 g

  2. Dried mushrooms 40 g

  3. Medium onion

  4. Salt

  5. Pepper

馃敧 Preparation:

Soak the mushrooms in water overnight. Cook the next day in the same water until soft, about 1 hour. Cook the cabbage until soft with salt and a little sugar. Fry the onion, cut into cubes, in oil.

In a food processor, grind the cabbage and mushrooms on medium holes. (You can also chop everything finely). Mix everything together, add the fried onion. Season with salt and pepper and mix again. Knead a smooth dough from flour, water, oil and salt. (If necessary, sprinkle with a little flour).

Roll out thinly and cut out circles using a glass. Place a ball of filling into each circle and stick together. Boil in salted water for about 2-3 minutes after it floats to the surface.
